I work in a aussie retail store that will be selling hl2, as far as i know we wont be getting any stock in till late afternoon on the 16th.. so we might or might not have some on sale in the afternoon on the 16th

Ive yet to see anything from valve that states that retail HL2 will not be playable on computers that dont have the net. This is suicide in the gaming world and i dont believe valve is planning on commiting it.

Im a big fan of gravity affecting the crossbow bolts, i love that good old arced trajectory makes you feel much more skillful when you get that headshot.

well i went and bought myself an a64 and it flies.. but then i won a p4 3.2 and i clocked that to 3.9 with watercooling, and it seems to beat the a64 speedwise :) still they both fly and i dont think there would be a big difference between top end cpu's with performance in hl2

Its some stupid perspective thing in max. If you use the magnifying glass zoom you can go in and out as much as you want but using the scroll you can only zoom in so far before scrolling does nothing anymore.

Yeah was just going to add my part, i saw this at eb today in sydney (aus) that if you buy a x800 you get a copy of doom3 free or if you get a x600 you get $50(30usd) off a copy of doom 3. I think its just an eb deal thingy nothing to do with sponsorship or the likes.
