Thanks for the detailed answer! console does open, but when I type map mapname the game crashes. it doesn't show the list of maps installed either. But thats probably because it crashes before it gets chance to show any list lol

Hi Forgive me if I am posting this at the wrong place.. How does one open a downloaded map in half-life 2 ( not episode 1 or anything) . I am supposed to open a console or something and then type 'map ' ??? well that console thing doesn't open.. Any help ? OR better still is there...
