Loading can take a bit but other than that I get no lag in game unless it is server. Try playing on stormed 1. Some of the servers really suck. Did you have everything updated? You get ammo from either an armory or an engineer with an ammo crate. Never really had a problem getting ammo...

I think the new .4 version has thrusters that you can spawn in it, as for blowing all the barrels at once phys_timescale 0, shoot them all, then phys_timescale 1
