Got the exact same problem..I recognized the lines immediatly in your screenshots. It's not only in dark area's btw..when you first exit the trainstation at the beginning of the game you can see them as well..well I can at least (on the street to the right). I made multiple threads about it...

You can't say that doom 3 copied half-life .. because the story for doom was there before half-life was even made. Doom 1 already had the story doom 3 uses. So in a way you can say that half-life copied doom...but the half-life series imo is way better then then the doom series in every...

Hey everbody, Since the release of HL2 I've been getting White lines (always the same places) when I enable anti-aliasing (in the driver settings AND in the game). I heard that this was Nvidia-specific.. Is there anyone who has fixed this problem already? I'm using the 81.87 drivers...

If you don't have broadband internet, that is.. wich is..almost no one. But, maybe you aren't able to get broadband internet in the area you live, and in that case, yes, steam might not be user friendly. But to everyone WITH broadband, steam is nothing but user friendly imo.
