there is a hardware part to each DX version. You can have the software part and not have the hardware part. This is something that most people do not understand. If you don't like it then you will have to talk to mr.gates.

Why would they not add DX10 support???? HL2 was supposed to be DX8 then was moved to DX9. You don't think they will do it again.

yeah i know. I was looking on the steampowered.com forum to see if anybody had had the same thing happen. And there was a big marked post that said new version of xfire may give you problems logging on to steam.

I found the problem. It was xfire. I was looking at the steam forum and there were several people that got the same error. And when they got rid of xfire steam worked again. It had something to do with the new version. I don't remember exactly. But thanks for your help.

There are 2 that i get. If i try to log on when steam first starts up with the computer i get some weird thing that tells me something needs to be debuged. Then if i try to get on again it will just say it can't connect to the internet. http://aapobclan.netfirms.com/error.htm There you will...

if i recall i said that was the old problem. That might have helped if i could get into steam.
