hey guys, a few weeks ago i bought these doctor martens.

originally, i wanted them black, but since there were none left i bought a brown pair, and decided to coat them black with those things you use to coat black shoes.

so after struggling i managed to make them black, but they shine a little bit, like those other types of shoes that are supposed to shine, and i was wondering if you could make them shine less with some substance, and leave them sort of opaque-looking like in the pic from the link (how they originally were).

ps - i hope i didn't fug up.
