A weapons question?

I'll be playing the game as of tomorrow......I finally have the time. .......My question is how long does it take before you get a actual weapon other than the crow bar? Crow bars Ok,but I need me some fire power,thanks...... :bonce:

Not long at all. It takes longer to get the crowbar than it does to get the next weapon after that, but I'd rather not spoil anything for you since the surprises are what I loved most about HL2.
