I’m sure you’ve heard this before but I simply can’t figure this one out.
Three people go into a store and see an item for sale at £30, so they each chip in £10, totalling £30.
Later on the store manager deeds the item was over priced and gives a refund. He instructs his under manager to give the refund of £5.
His under manager is a bit dishonest and pockets £2 for himself and gives them back £3.
£1 to each of them.
So they have now paid £ 9 each.
So 3 x 9 = 27.
He as pocketed 2.
Sum total 29
What happened to the extra £1?
