I don't have a screenshot.. but in the level with the crane, if you get one to follow you up the wooden planks, then climb the ladder.. they will just dig into the concrete and disappear.

Yip. Wondering if anyone else would comment on this. I had 3 that burrowed into the wooden pair, so me being crafty, I through a grenade where they went so when they popped out they'd explode. Except they disapear for ever and never come back. Made me wonder if they'd fallen into the sand below the pair or not, but I couldn't be bothered to go check.

Good way of killing them though

Well, in the Nova Prospekt chapter there are ant lion holes all over the place, so obviously they can dig through concrete. They must have tough teeth/claws/whatever :|

doesnt happen if I use concrete in a custom map.

In fact if you dont use specific texture then they wont even poop out the ground so it must not be a normal thing.
