Can you get to the windmill?

In Water Hazard, you drive the air boat, right?

There is a canal area that splits left & right. To the right is a dead end on dry land. There's a shack up on stilts to the left, and lots of garbage laying around. If you walk far enough, a crab zombie will pop up & come for you; also, a pack of head crabs jump down from a large rectangular opening in the far back wall.

You know this place, right?

There's also a windmill overhead, and various buildings, catwalks, etc. in the viscinity. I thought there was some way up there, because the windmill & other buildings looked like more than just the standard window dressing of other areas--it looks more like places you are supposed to explore.

Anyone managed to get up to the top of this area?

I know the area you speak of. I have tried various way to get up there with no results. I think its just not accessible. I also tried to get in the area where the head crabs come out of with no results. There are many areas throughout the game like this. I did notice that you can drive your airboat back in there and blast them all before they give you any trouble.

However, someone did post that where ever you see the HL Logo there are some goodies to be found, and the area is somehow accessible. I tried that theory out, and sure enough, its true.

You know, I don't know much about the console, other than that the ~ doesn't bring it up unless you add an argument to the target field for the HL2 game icon.

I'd rather do it without cheating.

I wish I knew where I could get a list of console commands, especially for Counter-Strike, which sucks big ones if you have to manually buy your equipment at the start of every round--experienced players use scripts bound to single key presses.

You dont have to edit the target field anymore, go into Options , Keyboard, then Advanced, i think anyway, and enable Developer Console. Then bind/cheat away!

Still, I'd like to know if we can get to that windmill and some of the other buildings overhead without cheating. Is there a particular jump or trick you can do?

I scanned the official game guide and there was nothing there about the overhead buildings -- just a bit about the cop you can run over, the zombie and headcrabs.
