Hi all,

I'm having trouble. I can't connect to the Valve store either through Steam or through general internet. It simply says that the site is down (ie: standard firefox message when a site is not accessible). My internet is working fine. As a lot of you seem to be pre-loading, something seems to be wrong with my computer, rather then the site being actually down.

Any ideas anybody. I looked up this issue in the steam forums, but the best I can get is a weird Nvidia firewall issue, which I'm excemp from.

Cheers.

PS: Just realized that this might be the wrong forum to post this in. Sorry.

And you have also tried connecting with Internet Explorer?

It's a conspiracy by Steam :O

Anyways ... i was about to suggest an alternative browser but that clearly is not the case :|

Yes choose one person and dont enable him to preload. Muhaha.
I had some connection problems. Have no idea what it meant, so i noobed around and revalideted my files. That worked for me.

Could have been something completely different, probably is for you, since your not able to enter the site.
Call 'em?

Try deleting your cookies. If your internet is working fine, and only 1 or 2 sites can't be displayed it is likely that:
A) The actual sites are down (but we've already determined this is not the case)
B) Some of your cookies are bad

Thanks True Canadian, I was just about to try your advice when the steam store suddenly poped back to life. I started preloading now, so I think I'm safe. If it dares crash on me or disconnect me again, I'm buying the box, even if I have to scratch out the EA sign.
