It seems like 3dsmax is the most popular modelling program. It would be easier to get help/tutorials. what do you all think?

Also, what is the difference? just mainly the interface? is the actual model processing the same? like 3ds max you can make primitive's (like boxes, cubes, spheres, etc) and also create vertices/edgses/polygons and change them around?
