It'll be interesting to see if this new system will be more or less successful than previous ones, but I doubt Valve will ever really let us know.

I definitely seems like something that will benefit Valve in the long run... it does not seem like a benefit for third-party developers.

And where the customers are concerned, the only people I imagine being hurt by this were those people who enjoyed the anticipation accociated with the sales. I really don't care though... I always hated the waiting game.

Good news in my book. I don't like wondering if I'm wasting money buying something during a seasonal sale only to find out it's even cheaper later in the sale.
