characters expressions problem, need help please...

i know that most of the gamers have problems like game crashes, stuttering, etc... not saying that my version doesn't have the stuttering probl. but what i wanted to ask is if anyone has experienced a "bug" where the ai characters in the game speak but dont even move their lips? i mean i know freeman is a great hero and all but he sure aint a mind reader... (i tried changing the res. from hi to low, with all levels of graphic quality).. dont wanna play the game this way, gets kinda sad and boring, please post any answers if available, maby a console command or smth. would be greatful, thanx.

have you tried -autoconfig in the STEAM launch options or maybe even -dxlevel90, -dxlevel81, -dxlevel80 depending on your graphics card?

i've got a radeon 9800 pro 128mb, and in the options menu is selected directx 9.0... :x
