I recently stumbled upon this thing called a Cinematic mod on Filefront.

http://halflife2.filefront.com/file/FakeFactorys_Oggs_Cinematic_Mod;55317

It says that the mod replaces all the textures and evertything in the game with ultra high res ones. From looking at the screenshots, it looks awsome.

But the file is 800 megabytes large. I'll be damned if i have to download the whole thing from a website. Does anyone know of a torrent or something that i can download through instead? And what do you think of the mod?

why would you want to download from torrent and not a site????? wouldnt site be alot faster

Absolutely not. Have you ever downloaded from a torrent?

The site is naturally 100 times slower because of its low bandwidth and limitations. An 800 meg file would take 6 hours + to download from a site, while a torrent would get it in 2,5 hours. Not counting the fact that most sites only let you download for a limited time before they shut you off. And not counting the fact that your web browser might at some point crash during these 6 hours, leaving you to do the whole thing again.

I played through this, but there were a couple things I didn't enjoy.

1. They put in different music at the wrong times, such as G-Mans ending speech.

2. For some characters, such as Barney, they made the faces look a bit odd.

3. It lagged in some outside areas.

4. Slightly longer loading times.

Other than that great mod.

I must say, this is a great job, but I have a problem with this.

Hi-res and taking away the grungy look is not the same thing.
