Actually, in the first google image he looks alot like the hl1-high definition (Read; The ugly) g-man.

Heh, GMan stands for Government Man and that guy works for French government. So no conspiracy here.

And those who disagree, Opposing Force manual mentions G-Man being "worker for the government", and some early Half-Life 1 reviews say Government Man.

This could be good news: If the G-Man is French, it means that he is genetically pre-disposed to surrender. It also allows us to speculate that on the day of the disaster, G-Man was in the Anomalous Materials lab for the purpose of acting snooty to the Americans there. On the minus side, it means that the Garlic Cannon that Eli developed for use on him is actually a red-herring, since instead of being a vampire and thus vulnerable to it, he's French and it gives him superior sexual magnetism. Perhaps the Chumtoads were originally in Half-Life 1 for something connected to this plot detail?
