Crash-O-Matic

For some reason lately hl2DM has been crashing like maaaad, especially if am in a fire fight at uncomfortably close range near physical stuff. I get the error Half-life DM: hl2.exe - Application error 0x2406ff99 0x00fellcc something about reading memory blah blah. I'll take a pic of the desktop when it happens again. I am sure am not the only one getting this..... well I hope am not... :flame:

HL2DM just locks up on me...and I need to restart the computer. I never had this happening before, I'm hoping it's just a problem with the game and not a hardware problem... it's happened to me in Garrysmod too. ;(

This happens to me also. But it's like the picture he posted. Try pushing Esc before doing anything else. There is most likely an error message like he got, or something similar, but you can't see it and I wouldn't try hitting it with the cursor, cause if you miss it's gonna be hell to Alt + Tab to it since you can't see when you have it focused.

Just try Esc next time, and you won't have to boot to get going again. That's what I did before, but now I never have to do that anymore =)

I believe it was my team-mate Typhoon who said that in our channel or on VT or something once that made me try it =)

Nope, it's completely locked up. ESC, Tab, ALT+Tab, CTRL+ALT+DEL don't do anything. ;( It's only happened to me a few times but it's got me worried ;/

Ah ok :/ That's damned annoying :/ Just hope they fix the damn bugs soon.

Yeah exactly the same thing happens to me often.
I was in a frantic Shotgun vs Crossbow firefight yesterday, I'd given the guy a good pumelling, and then the game froze as my shotgun let rip on him. The gun flare was frozen, pointing towards his head.

I never did find out if I'd got the kill
