Posted this elsewhere to get opinions but thought I'd post here too to see if anyone was familiar with either.

or

both the same price, both 5 megapixels. I'm currently leaning toward the pentax model

OR.. im very tempted with this one, 6.1megapixels and only a few quid more, except I can't find any reviews or real info about it so no idea if its even any good visually.

the last link might not work in FF, fine in IE though.

Those are pretty low prices for 5MP cameras. Are you looking for small size or quality? Price range? Goal or when are you going to use it?
Review
Or just skip to the conclusion.

Only camera I have experience with is the canon powershot s5, and I would recommend it highly. Cant speak of any others though.

Mostly fooling around, textures, reference photo's for paintings. I doubt I'd be using them for photo's that would be printed, but still would like the extra resolution 5mp give, or 6.1 in the case of the last one in the list. But while the others reviewed have both given pretty much the same results as each other. The Polaroid one I can't find any info, so no idea if the extra res is noticable or that it could look really blurry quality compared to something far lower.

As for price range, I don't really want to go above £200 for one.

Another thing that you wanna look at is the "shutter lag"
I can only find the shutter info for the pentax

Min shutter 4 sec
Max shutter 1/2000 sec

that any good?

oooh you edited that as i posted the first time, just noticed the links.. woah thats a lot of cool info on it, THANKS!! :D

Edit (again)

Gh0st mentioning the Canon one, I accidently clicked on a different model http://www.steves-digicams.com/2004_reviews/a95.html

its more expensive than I planed by almost £100, but woah it seems like its worth it!

I'd also check out A85 or the new Canon A510 if you want lower cost yet good optics.

Not 5MP though.

hmm, well looking at them, and the prices. I think I'm now sorely tempted by the Canon A95. It looks like a really impressive little (and I mean little, damn i didn't think camera's could be so small lol) thing. The quality looks good and seems to have what I need.

Course then I saw the 11mp ones at 7k.. ouch lol.
