Done With Half Life 2

Well its not a long game but its hard i never beat half life 1 and idk if its better than this one does anyone recomend it ? is it better than this one

i doubt you will get the same awesome, smack-in-the-face sorta experiance, cuz for 1998 that was one hell of a game. To be honest, there is no way you would like it better then HL2 unless, like most of us, u played HL1 1st. You would be comparing it too much to the advancement in technology whilst forgetting the incredible cinematic gameplay it introduced back then. However, it can't do you no harm to no what happend in the first game and experiance it for yourself!

I played HL1 for the first time in 2003 and still loved every second. I don't really have much nostalgia for the game though, so I like Half-Life 2 much, much more.

I do not think HL1 is better then HL2 but it is definatly worth playing through. You just have to remeber that the game is 6 years old so the graphics are not all that great, and there is no uber-physics engine.

My list of best shooters is:
1. Half Life 2
2. Call of duty
3. Half life

When playing it, try to remember that it was released when Quake 2 was considered the pinnacle benchmark of fps games. Says a lot really.

Definately worth playing the original- it's a classic, and you'll develop more of an understanding of the characters, the plot etc.

As n@j mentioned, it is dated compared to todays technology, but it still is a fantastic game.

Unstopp you need to play HL1, it is fricking awesome, even if you play it after HL2. I go back and mess around with it all the time when I get bored of playing HL2. I even took the time to go through all of HL1 on hard without taking any damage. Thats how much I love the first game.

yea but i was just focused alot on beating the whole hl2 and i havent played any mp game so what im asking is is it worth the time and also is it longer or shorter than hl 2 harder easier? what u guys think

Half Life 2 makes hl1 look obsolete kind of like doom 3 and doom 1 and 2. HL1 is boring to me now.
