E3 Video Question

Was what we saw in the E3 video actaully part of the game, or was the entire thing created just as an e3 presentation. Im talking about the strider scene, the buggy scene, the bugbait scene, etc... Real game footage, or just examples of what hl2 is like?

It was apart of the game and just recorded according to Valve. It was a video of a man playing the game.

all of it is from the game (apart from the techdemo at the beginning).

I don't think it's from the game its wierd cos the level where the guy kicks in the door is different cos i wierd thing attacks ya and theres no men but if u load a different map the men are there and they always kick down the door.

only way to find out is wait for final release but my opinion is that some is the game and some is'nt there was quite alot of stuff made for E3 alone though cos valve wanted to hype the game up at E3 (it worked)

Translation to what he said:

Only way to find out is wait for the final release. My opinion is that some of the game is there, and some isn't. There was quite alot of stuff made for E3 alone though (in his opinion), 'cause VALVe wanted to hype the game up at E3 (and it worked).

(My take is he used Create Server, thereby disabling the AI, and then typed map e3_phytown, and the AI worked)

Atleast that's what I got out of it
