Episode 2 Soundtrack

What do you guys think about it? I thought it was a fantastic addition, and really helped the atmosphere. There were many more adrenaline pumping songs than in the previous episode, which I loved.

Opinions? Do you think it was better, worse, or equal to previous soundtracks?

Same here. Just great. They use the Lost Coast music at the end too, with good effect. I didn't notice much "recycling" like in Episode One, with the Citadel elevator.

Really good. When the music starts on the Antlion bit, i was like "Bring it bitches!" And then proceeded to shotgun the crap out of hordes of antlions.

I'm not usually a fan of game music, but Episode 2 had me tappin' my foot.

Yes. CrawlYard, Last Legs, Abandoned in Place, and Sector Sweep are sweet tracks.

One of the new songs is totally out of place.

Before getting the car, with the infinite smg1 grenade crate in the toxins. That song was definitly supposed to be in the caverns as it felt antlion-ish.

I really like the sound tracks in portal
(specially the one in the trailer).
but still, most favorite soundtracks are in hl2.

The music is used sparingly throughout, primarily playing during scenes of major plot developments or particularly important action sequences such as large battles or encountering a new enemy. The soundtrack is included in the Russian edition of The Orange Box

Listening to it right now... out of the Game, "Sector Sweep" is my favourite, in-Game the "Vortal Combat" Theme (Makes you go "Haha! Bring them on!").

This time they did the Rock Music well, in EP1 the Hospital theme was only annoying. But the first Zombine Track, I believe it's "Song-11/Self Destruction", is one of my Top 5
