Hello,
first of all, excuse my bad english. It's not my mother tongue and i wasn't able to find a german Half Life 2 board with a lot of active members. My problem:
While installing(right word?)... better: While running the Half Life 2 setup an error occurs while reading the file "half-life 2 base content.gcf". I sould make sure that this file exists and that it's possible to ... access it.
I ended the setup and startet it again a few times but that didn't work. The error still occurs.
My operating system is Windows Vista Home premium 64 Bit.
I did install the game before more than once. That was on Windows XP.
So does anyone knoes how to do to end the setup succesfully? Or at least where on the Half Life 2 DVD the wanted file is? So I'd be able to watch if it's there and contain/isolate the problem.
