Create server
Console:
net_start
maxplayers #
sv_password (server password)
Tell your friend to type into his console:
connetc (Your IP address):the root thingy (It will tell you it when you type net_start.

This should be right. If not I will get back to you. It isn't really worth it.

Yea we have a video or two on yousendit links We play almost every day. The latest Garrys doesnt need you to do all that, just Create Server, unless you want to set specific details when making it before hosting, such as password and maxplayers. I also advise you to get a good fun console list (such as the npc fun lists) so you can all spawn and play about with things

damn theres gotta be a way to bring him back, maybe a small code mod, or console command *saving the world in only 10 mins mode*

garrysmod online is great fun when you got people that aren't idiots, my server has been crashed at least 10 times by idiots who spawn too much crap (usually manhacks, wheels, or cannisters seem to crash it)

And never delete a vehicle when somebody is still inside of it. That will crash your game too. My server crashed once because sombody was spawning like 10 combine soldiers.
