Google Earth makes my computer chirp

When I use Google Earth, moving the map or even the mouse around causes what I think is the north bridge (could be something else) to chirp/click quickly. It's rather quiet, and if I don't move the mouse, it doesn't make any noise. When I close the program and use the mouse or the computer otherwise, I don't get the noise. Have any of you experienced this? What would even make that noise in solid-state devices? I haven't noticed any stability issues otherwise.
 
You sure the noise generated isn't coming through your speakers? It's coming from the mobo??
