Grrr, Need help BF2 WONT LAUNCH

Ok, just installed Battlefield 2 about 20 minutes ago with no problem, I try to launch both Single and Online and the screen will go dark black, light black, dark black and go back to my desktop. I updated my ATI drivers just a few minutes ago, restarted my PC and tryed it and still the same problem if you can please help me!

Your PC clean of spyware / virus / trojans / malware etc?

Try googling for a similar problem?

Have you patched your game yet? I couldn't see that in your post, but i'm very tired. The patch is one big bastard, but you'll need it for online play.

Sorry for the wait guys, yes AiM I virus scaned and spyware scaned and found some components :\ I rienstalled it and it worked! ^^ and thanks you Hectic Glenn I didn't know about the patches..lol I'm new to batlefield so...but another question during some times in offline mode Bf2 won't respond and I have to reboot because Alt+Ctrl+delete won't work...any suggestions on that? And where can I find the latest patche(s)?

^^ How bad were the infections? Your average cookie-spyware or the backdoor trojans? If it's anything like a virus / trojan, I'd strongly recommend you reformatting the hard drive.

The lockup sounds to me you still have malware somewhere, do you have frequent stutters or the game runs sluggish?

Not much of the virus' just said I HAD one and it was cleared a while ago:\, I had quite a few third-party cookies though but I cleared them out...I'm defragging right now if that would help...oh and thanks for the patch link lol iunno if any of those answers your questions lol oh and I don't really have stutters or anything I'm not to clear on malware either :$ oh and one last thing, the link do i need all of them or just this one "Battlefield 2 v1.22 (372MB)"

Yeah you just need the big 1.22 one as you said. The other smaller ones are incremental patches which were little add-ons to the first patch if you update that all the time. Considering this is your first patch, download the big boy and give it plenty of time to install (theres problems with patching too sadly!).

If you've scanned with adaware and spybot you'll be alright for spyware. Any other crashes might be down to your system not being top notch for this game. BF2 is quite a demanding game, so go easy on your settings.

TrendMicro Virus Scan

Try that out, it works great in catching what AdAware and Spybot SD misses out. You might have to run it through IE, it doesn't work with Opera for me (not sure about FireFox).
