Half Life 2 glitch....

In the beginning of "OUR BENEFACTORS" I came to an area that I have to jump a small gap in a cat walk. I cant jump???Any one have the same problem? :smoking: Any ideas? :naughty:

Er.. a screenshot would be helpful. If you're at the part with the hanging coffin things, you need to press your 'use' key to get inside one of them. Just don't get in the ones that go through the electrical thing.

Hl 2 Glitch

Sorry I guess I didnt explain very well. I have got to the part where I have lost all my wepons except the gravity gun and Dr. Bre talks to you. I have fought off the soldiers attatck and now cant go but one place because of the force fields. The only way to go is jump a cat walk to get to one of lthe generators. I cant jump at all? Some of the walk throughs say I should be able to jump.

Oh.. hmm. Try grabbing those energy ball things, sometimes it will disable a force field when you remove them from the uh... things.. that they're in. I can't really picture where you are exactly so i'm just guessing.

Had to go back ...

Had the same problem, I loaded a game where i could still jump, then played thru to that point again. Worked fine from then on.

Thanks internalconflict. :cheers: ............I will try that. I have to go a complete chapter (one of the toughest) back but I have to get through the game at this point. :frown:

Yeah, it was fine the first time through but I got it on my second time. I just had to reload at a point before I fell into that room where they take your weapons.

You can just click new game and select the chapter you are on, no need to redo.
