Hi all. U know, there r many people in the world, that doesn't understand the universe of Half-Life, and our HL-fan community in Russia desided to improve that mistake. We started to write a Half-Life Real Guide, that will contain all our knowlege aboute HL-universe. Already we have written aboute 1 mb of a text. And I, as a headmaster of our project want it to be written by Laidlow. In future, in my the most honorest dreams . Unfortunately, I can't translate it to English myself because I don't know it very good.
And I want a human creature, that knows English well and (it would be VERY good) knows Russian. But the last condition isn't the main.

Thanks 4 all.

It's Laidlaw.

Chances are you won't find any english speaking russian members at the moment.

I understand, I need a man, who can find a mistakes in the texts.

So you need someone to correct a megabyte of badly translated English into proper English?

there are many online "language" translating websites; try one of those.

Why "badly"? Normal English, ofcourse, mistakes, but it's a normal English, but i need a man, whos native language is English, who uses phrasal werbs and idioms...

Look, i can translate texts better, than online translators, but i repeat, "i need a man, whos native language is English, who uses phrasal werbs and idioms..." :)

I have seen Russian members here in the past as we discussed the meaning of 'Nova Prospekt', they wrote it pretty well too. Hopefully they'll appear and may help you. :)

I have seen Russian members here in the past as we discussed the meaning of 'Nova Prospekt', they wrote it pretty well too.

I remembered this from Wikipedia: Nova Prospekt means 'New Prospects,' or, the 'coming of new prospects' in Polish. But anyway, I'm sure you know that, albeit some people here might not so that's why I gave the translation.

Woah, too many commas...

Rabarber, i dont believe thats the translation word by word, i believe its the closest that you can get to the actual english translation.

No, there r no "nova" & "prospect" in russian. eeer... we have the word "novaya" means "new" and the word "prospect", but it means "highway". Nova=new star in Enbglis, isn't it? and prospect is eeer.. prospect=). R there any othe questions closely connected with Russia?

And now, what about retranslate the text?

And I want a human creature, that knows English well
That just sounds hilarious...

Я нимагу сказат что я хорошо знаю русскаму язику...(probably that sentence was grammatically wrong:rolling:)
My English is also not bad...(actually a lot better than Russian...)
Post-soviet countries rule:bounce:(I'm from Lithuania...)

Я нимагу сказат что я хорошо знаю русскаму язику...
