Half way through my 2 week raf reservist training and i have bruises all over my legs and sore fingers. Spent all day at the range on Thursday kneeling down and going prone on bloody gravel which was painful. The recoil also sent the sights into my nose a little so by the time i'd finished, i had a sore nose as well
.
But i did fire my first ever weapon yesterday, a nice L85a2, fired around 220 rounds and past my weapon's firing test. Also had a go on the gpmg which is a 7.62 light machine gun, wow fantastic weapon .
We'll be outside all next week at a range in Cumbria and go on our first night assault as well, just hope it doesn't pour down with rain.
