HDR lags computer in Episode 1?

Well, I just started playing Episode 1 again with HDR enabled and in some areas my computer gets massive lag. I've played the game before, without HDR enabled with all settings on high and my computer didn't lag. My computer specs are the following.

Athlon XP 2800+
512MB DDR-SDRAM PC2100 (133 MHz)
Sapphire X800GTO (16 pipelines unlocked and overclocked at 420/520)
Maxtor 160GB HDD and a Seagate 120GB HDD

I'm thinking maybe I need more RAM, what do you guys think?

better video card wouldn't hurt either, but more ram for sure.

Liez. An X800XT is more than sufficient. It's the RAM that kills him.
