Help im stuck in "entanglements"

I just defeated the combine/turret fight and went to the basement for the flare/darkness fight..very cool lighting effect..anyway i go upstairs into a guard tower that leads to a room with a electronic barrier...I cannot figure out where to go..please HELP..also Im getting close to the endgame??
