Help me get the single player going...

I really am not that dumb but I am having pain in my ass on getting to the single player game on half life 2.
When i put in the cd and click play half life 2 it starts in with all the muliplayer Deathmatch crap. I have created a steam account but just want to play the single player for now. I just want to play the single player! HELP!! :cheers:

Well, deathmatch isn't on the cd.

in steam, on ur "Play Games" list there should be "Half-life 2" damn that was hard now wasnt it?

You have to open steam- you can forget about putting in a cd- all you do is open steam and pick the game- no cds required.
