Please Help please, stuck in route kanal...

I just got a new computer and a friend put half life 2 on it. I started not long ago and am stuck. I'm up to the part where you enter the container and talk to the Vortigaunt and he gives u suit energy. But the problem is I cannot get them to talk and I've pressed every dam key on the keyboard. Please help..

check if your use key is set on anything on the keyboard, because if it isnt you can press as mch buttons as you wont, it will not work

Do you have the legit version, if not it would be A.I Disable trhats doing this. I'd Suggest you buy the game.

If you have the legit version, and you used a cheat previous this, maybe that has stuffed around with your game, then i'd suggest you load a previous save state where you didn't have the cheat on

well i think my friend did put cheats on.. so that could be it. But how do i turn cheats off?, I dont have much knowledge of this game yet.

To enter this command you must first press the ~ key (on my keyboard it is just to the left of the 1 and over the tab key).

Do you run a program called "steam" when you play the game?
If not- the copy your friend gave you was pirated and is illegal and thats why some things wont work right.

True, do you know where your friend got this game? And that he bought it? Hah a friend would never just install a $55 game on someone's computer just like that... pirated....
