Anyone know of any kind of book based on anything related to Half Life?
Be it biografi, novel, history, story, anything?

Well, there's the Prima books that are being published (eventually) regarding Half-Life 2. Not sure about anything for HL1... were there strategy guides for it?

I remember some site having the whole HL1 (HL,BS and Op4) story...
don't remember which one that was, unfortunatly

There's the official Prima strategy guide for HL1, and a Versus Books official HL1 Perfect Guide.

Idident mean strategy guide, or walk through, but like a normal book that you can read. Like the one you borow at a library.
Stupide of me saying everything :monkee:

ya there is i acully have one...its all about HL1 and its 134 pgs

Try this site (The Lambda Project). It makes a few things up to fill in the gaps...and makes many assumptions, but it seems to give a good account of the story. I think it might be a site for a mod or something, I couldn't work it out, but it is based around the Black Mesa incident and includes aspects of the HL and Op4 story.

Uh, this site says the G-Man is the Admin, when he's not.

I know! As I said, it assumes certain things, that we now know aren't true. But when it was written, I don't think there was anything to say that the gman wasn't the admin. It's one person's take on the storyline, and isn't official or completely accurate, but seems to give a good account of the story.

Wasn't a book called "The Mist" one of the inspirations for the events in HL1?

Oh, and as for that Lambda Project website, I know the author, and he wrote that thing like two years ago. He just hasn't bothered to change it. :)

Yep...very losely. "The Mist" is a short story by Stephen King. From the blurbs i've read, it is about a mist that engulfs a town, apparently caused by a top secret government research project (the Arrowhead Project) and creatures such as tentacles arrive with it.

Yep it was a short story by Stephen King...but it's mainly about a bunch of people who get trapped in a store while alien creatures are coming out of the mist (don't remember it well now haven't read it since the 80's).

very loose

edit: slayer beat me :P

there is a book..something along the lines of "The making of" for the Half Life series which i am interested in.

hmm.. i'll probably browse the chapters first to see if its worth the cash :)

Sounds like FF9. :dozey:

Half-Life in book form would be hard to write, especially if the writer wanted to make it a great complex book. It is better suited as a game. All in my opinoin of course.
