the game is not out yet so why are do they have reviews for it?
there are also lots of screenshots in pc mag which can be spoilers.

yeah i think the mag people get to play it so they can review it..

there has (what I/we know) inly been 10 reviws so far, so that's not a very high % of all the gaming-reviews.

What did they say was wrong with it? :sniper:

Everything, they all said HL2 was the biggest FLOP of gaming history............

They said that is was probably the best game of all time.

The only prob I heard was that very occasioanlly (I got the idea it was 2 or 3 times in the entire game) the AI goes wrong and your friends get in the way of your fire.

They have reviewed it because they were either sent the finished version when it went gold and they started making the CDs and DVDs, or for the earliest reviews they would have got sent a release candiate (nearly finished version that has to be tested by the publishers before 'going gold' and production starting.)

They said its the best game Until DNF show up!

Heh.....funny.

Anyways, all the gaming mag people flew over to Valve HQ to play the game there. Valve didn't want to risk any huge scale leak (again, I guess.)

so i can see that they are very good in keeping their mouth shut from revealing any spoilers

hehe, they review a game they know nothing of, never even heard of it, without even learning anything first. then after their fluked review, they learn stuff about it and review it. lastly, they play the game then review it! imagine a mag like that... the laughs...

Hey, man! I had nothing to do with it!

so they have played it already?

No, they just take a stab in the dark at the final score, without actually playing the game at all. :p

It happens with pretty much all hyped games. Reviews are a very effective form of marketing and spreading the word.
