Hey everyone.

This may sound like a stupid idea to some people, but after watching the EP2 trailer, I started to think about Breen returning in ep2, but having a host body. Breen has mentioned something about a host body on Dark Energy, I don't remember well. But what if he had been successfully teleported? Then he would probably return as the combine advisor seen on the trailer. Well, what do you guys think?

It's a possible scenario however it's common belief that Breen was killed at the end of HL2

Been discussed many times before. Breen didn't manage to teleport at the end of Half-life 2 as we seen him fall back down the teleport chute. Also bear in mind that if he had, we'd have failed. I don't want him to be in an Advisor because it would take importance and character away from the Advisor itself and what's more, an Advisor probably wouldn't give up its body for Breen.

For the good of the story, Breen must be dead.

Breen's dead. Valve obviously intended ambiguity for the ending, but he's still dead.

Soo, what's with the combine advisor? (might sound stupid) But what if the advisor we see in EP1 (that was teleported) and the one in the trailor, might have been the Advisor Breen talks to, but why would the combine advisor be there?

The Advisor was never teleported, it's always been on Earth (and from the look of it there's a fair few).

Somehow I tend to think that Breen is still alive, of course in his normal body:upstare:
Damn, I liked that guy...

I always thought that the combine advisor he was speaking to was on the combine homeworld, not one Earth :S. But still, would it make sense that the Advisor we see in EP1 was the same Advisor Breen was talking to in Dark Energy?

Yes it would. I also think that Breen wasn't heading to the Combine homeworld, but more a colony much like Earth.

It would make sense. Odds are, the combine home world is too far off to be reached, so the nearest location (my guess in Alpha Centauri system) would probably be another converted planet.

I'm guessing you're referring to physical distance, because I'm also relatively sure they're in another dimension aren't they?

They are. The Union ought to have an outpost somewhere in our universe though.

True... What I'd like to see though, is just WHAT the combine attacked with, they couldn't have use humans, so there must have been some pretty cool, or pretty crappy creature Synths seen before. Also, the new array of synths seen in the end of HL2 would suggest conversion of yet another planet to the combine empire wouldn't it?

Which would not matter they move by going from one dimension to another and then back at intersecting points so they could be any place
