In my map, I have two guys that I specify to sit down under the model section but wont. So I thought, I may as well try to script it. I also want at a point when you walk through a door a citizen to walk up to you and say something. How can I script this, can I use notepad? Or do i have to download an editor?

IF, im not mistanken, i think its done in face poser, and yuo can only do this for single player games/mods.

ok what you do is name the npc as something create a trigger that triggers a choreo scene entity then in face poser create a choreo scene with the character walking then stoping then talking. have the actor named !target1 have him walk to player face to player etc then save it then have the choreo scene load that choreo file. i dont understand what u meen in the first part of your thread. i was really vauge in my post so look it up on half lfie 2 wiki if ur having trouble

How can i get the guy to sit down? Do I have to create a script? When i go to Model, under the entities properties and specify Sit Down, he does not sit down when I run the map. How can I create scripts also, i think it would be useful to know.

you dont need any scripts to control the npc. u need to loop the sitting down animation in faceposer. i suggest you read the tutorials on hl2world . net

The MODEL flag of an npc is just to browse their animations. If you want them to actually perform those animations in-game, you have to use some scripted_sequences.
