Basically, the majority of a Oklahoma City suburb has been obliterated. Multiple schools were hit right as kids were getting out, with the town only having about an 18 minute warning before it hit them. They're still trying to dig out people house by house, and are still trying to find more kids at one of the schools that was hit. The debris at the school is about 10ft deep, and they said one section where a teacher brought a bunch of kids to take shelter simply doesn't exist anymore, the walls to the room are just gone. Doesn't sound good...

A monster tornado packing winds as strong as 200 mph roared through the Oklahoma City suburbs Monday, pulverizing block after block of homes and demolishing the walls of an elementary school. At least 10 people were killed, the Oklahoma City medical examiner said.
Crews frantically searched an estimated 30 square miles of wreckage and were only beginning to get a sense of the destruction. Dazed people stepped around mangled cars and picked through acres of splintered wood and metal where houses had stood. Hospitals reported several dozen injured.
“The whole city looks like a debris field,” said Mayor Glenn Lewis of the city of Moore, which appeared to be hardest hit.
At Plaza Towers Elementary School, the tornado tore the roof off, and authorities kept hysterical parents back because it was too loud to hear screams for help. It was not clear how many children were inside. A teacher told NBC affiliate KFOR that she draped herself on top of six children in a bathroom to shelter them.
More than two hours after the tornado struck, several children were pulled out alive.

Been watching this on and off all day. My friend lives outside of Whitman Airforce base and is stationed there in Missouri not too far away so I hope he's ok because he hasn't responded to us yet. Over the past few days lots of tornados have touched down. This is like the Katrina or Sandy storm for the Tornado world.

Really devastating. Not much to say but, man.
