VUG have the rights to publish TEH Half-Life 2 game ... and what do they do ?

Hmmmm almost nothing.

They need to go on a super hype train and addvertise HL2 as best as they can ! Even more then Activision did for DOOM3 .

We are talking about HL2 here !!!

They can't trust only for the name ... here i am about a week before HL2 release and i almost don't care.

I don't belive my all hype now is for Halo 2 !!! If you told me that a few monthes back from now that i will be more hyped on Halo 2 then HL2 i would joke on it for days. I have a great feeling to go out and buy X-Box and play Halo 2 for along long time.

BG VUG ! :(

p.s - sorry for a bad grammer .

Do you think that people would be attracted to the idea of a "Baby Baguette"?

Half Life never had any advertisment, if HL2 is anywhere near as good word of mouth alone with suffice.

I honestly think this game needs only the name.

But there HAVE been tons of ads. Just because it's not a TV ad doesn't mean it's not there, have you picked up a magazine relating to computers lately? :O

I've seen plenty of magazine and internet ads, so I'm sure vivendi have things covered.

HL2 will still sell great if it's not advertised properly... but I think it should still have a few TV adverts to get people who don't really know what it's about interested. It makes no sense not to

Can people cut out the crap with having to make a point on people's spelling and grammar mistakes please? It's really starting to get tiresome. You're basically finding a reason to spam and if you look at the rules of the forum you'll see that we don't like that too much :)

I haven't seen any Halo 2 ads and I haven't seen any HL2 ads.

Chris, you're missing a comma in your compound sentence. :)

On topic, I think there is sufficient advertising in the places that matter. Game sites and magazines have been hyping this game for a good year now. You don't need to advertise in the Wall Street Journal or on the WB. The people who would be interested in the game will find out about it one way or another.

Yeah, I really wonder why the 50 bucks I'm gonna spend on it, the greatest part is going to the publisher who has done bugger all for this game so far. The didn't fund Valve, they didn't make any spectacular boxart (just a regular plastic dvd case), they didn't advertise for it, why should they get like 75% of the money? Really, why? FFS, ATI has done a LOT more to promote it.
I wish I had a creditcard so I could just boycot them and give all the money to the people who earned it.

Theres an ad about HL2 on gamespot, thats gotta be good for something;)
