Commentary: For decades secret reasearch has been done into contacting over worlds. Noone knew what was going, but now something has gone wrong.

Camera turns quickly until it faces a shaft going down into black mesa before suddenly accelerating down it.

Clips of scientists getting owned by aliens, including comments from them such as "Something is trying to get in" and "Close the blast doors!". Finally one sais "There is only one man who can stop this, Gordon Freeman.

Clip of Freeman, Crowbar in hand.

Clips of Freeman kicking aliens asses.

"Half-Life, coming this fall" Clip of vortigaunt blasting open door.

Sounds like doom 3 e3 2002 "Only one man stands between Hell and Earth..."

so, so true, if they make a HL movie, you dont want it to be some b-grade kurt russel movie :P

I dont think that there was that "theres only one man that can stop this...", and dont forget, no one expects Gordon Freeman to save black mesa and do all the things he did, or even that there would be a resonance cascade.

i hate b-grade movies. They suck balls. Just like aliens vs predator.

Opening: Blank screen. Within moments, it changes to an image of the resonance cascade. The scene is filled with scientists screaming and chaos in general.

Cut to a scene of a headcrab trying to jump on a scientist's head.

Cut to an injured scientist with nasty looking cuts all over him, he looks terrified. He is also tending to a much more injured scientist on the gound. He looks up and seems to focus on the camera for a bit, then calms down slightly, enough to speak.

"Gordon! You're alive! Thank god for that Hazard suit! Please, you've got to get word to the surface as soon as you can and let them know we're stranded here and that the facility has been...[ominous voice]overrun...[/ominous voice]"

Cut to a shadowy silhouette (sp?) of Gordon plowing through legions of headcrabs and zombies with a crowbar.

Cut to the Gman talking to a Marine. (Note: You do not see the Gman's face. It is obscured by a lighting trick.) "You...underssstand then, General... that there must be no survivors, yesss?"

"Affirmative sir..."

Cut to an Osprey dropping off marines and a scientist running out, screaming "Rescued at last! Thank god you're here!"

A triplet of gunshots rigns through the air as the screen fades to black, to be replaced by images sliding by at an extremely fast clip. A headcrab, bullsquid, tentacle, alien slave, alien grunt, marines, explosions, battles, and for a nanosecond, a Combine soldier. The image is quickly replaced with a black screen, with only the trademark orange Lambda symbol present.

The Gman starts talking as the trailer ends. "Welcome to Black Mesa..."

Finally, the Lambda symbol turns to "Enter Black Mesa, summer 2006."

Very cool thread!

My vote (at least for a teaser) would be for the camera moving closely around the Lamdba symbol- so you can't see it too clearly - with sounds of the Black Mesa alarm and the Vortigaunt grunt in the distance.. fading back slowly to the Orange Lambda symbol.. insert flash of hardcore action scenes..heartbeat..more action scenes, dramatic music bulding to a creshendo..flash back to Lambda with a quick zoom out hwere you realize what you were looking at was the Lambda pin of a shadowy figure standing in front of you...

Welcome to Black Mesa, Misssster Freeman.

the gordon freeman line ruins it
Yea, they didn't actually call on Freeman to get their butts out of Black Mesa... He just kinda did it. Impromptu hero you might say

Headcrabs are too funny to try to make a preview look hardcore. And that noise they make sounds so pitiful. It would really be out of wack with an action-movie teaser. They could kind of tongue-in-cheek have one jump on the camera at the end, like Lamarr did after the credits.
