I've encountered technical dificulties with a mod, little help?

Hey, you may have noticed that this is my first thread. Thats becous I just joined primarily to ask for assistance, but I'm sure I'll be sticking around. Dont mind me!

Ok, so I downloaded Das Robos, unzipped it, followed the readme instructions and loade up HL2. Console screen comes up, I type in ''map drob1'' likes I was tolds...and it says that the file dont exist.

What am I doing wrong?

Did you unzip the folder that is in the .zip file into the directory \Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods\ ?

I can't remember if DR is set up as a mod, or just a set of bsp's.

Try putting drob1, 2 , etc in:

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\e@mail\half-life 2\hl2\maps

and then run the console command.

I followed the readme directions:

INSTALLATION

note: Below I explain how to install and launch Das
Roboss in excruciating detail. If you've done this
before, just skip it.

Unzip this zip file into your

..\Steam\SteamApps\[email protected]\half-life 2\hl2\maps

Make sure you have subfolders enabled because there
is a graphs folder inside the zip file that contains
navigation information for the level's AI. If you
fail to install the graph files (.ain) they will be
rebuilt when the level is loaded. This will take
about 5-30 seconds depending on your machine.

Once the files are installed right click on HL2 in
your steam launcher. Go to Properties->Launch Options ,
type "-console" in the space provided without quotes.
Close the window and launch HL2.

You will be given a command prompt where you must type
"map drob1" without quotes. That's all!

right there's your issue, the readme assumes your steamid is your email.

lets assume your steam username is John and your steam is installed to C:\Program Files\Steam.

the maps would go in:

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\John\Half-Life 2\hl2\maps
