Was bored today so decided to finish a recent image. It's supposed to look like oil paint style. But I don't think I've got it looking quite right just yet. Though its closer than past attempts. Funny really, I hate painting with oils, yet on a computer I try fake the effect, go figure :)

Anyhoo, all done in Painter 8 using brushes I've made, didn't make use of impasto though, find it often causes more problems and not really worth it.

Did some cleaning up and editing in Photoshop 7 eg: adding a faint surface texture to the image. Also toned down the colors a little in photoshop, since I'd got a bit too gaudy in painter trying to mimic oils.

Edit: Unfortunately, the image looks really bright on this monitor compared to the other one. I wish instead of making faster machines, someone would work out a way to properly calibrate two different makes of monitors so embarrasing accidents like this don't happen.. So yeah, try pretend the original is just as bright, please, thanks lol :p
