Miyamoto Spills the Beans
Gaming legend Shigeru Miyamoto was recently interviewed by Famitsu, Japan's premier gaming magazine, and the guru revealed some rather juicy details about what's in the works at Nintendo. First, Mario 128 is still being developed for the GameCube along with a new Pokemon title by some "strong allies." Also, the newly-announced Mario Baseball is being worked on with the help of Namco. He also confirmed that Mother 3 (Earthbound 2) for the GBA is planned for release pretty soon.
Now, for the bigger news. Miyamoto said Nintendo is getting aggresive with online play. The company sees online gaming becoming a big deal within 3-4 years and Nintendo will adapt. One way it'll do that by taking the Nintendo DS online sooner than we think. For instance, Square Enix and Nintendo are working together on an online title.
