I found that to learn hammer you must experiment with known methods, and find some out on your own.

So I made a room... Then a corridor... Then another.

The made a sliding door...

And so on...

Then I did more experimenting, and added souds to doors, Carved alot..

Skyboxes, But above all, the process for making a map.
Then came the ai ( My favorite)

I made a metro cop throw a man hack when he saw me, Learned about info nodes, AND hint nodes and how to use them to make the ai smarter.

Learned to make ai invulnerable.
I made a fully functional strider.
Mastered ai spawning, and combine repelling, In all situations.

I also learned ai scheduling, proper alignment of texture and how to proporly stage a fight between 2 forces.

Even learned video monitors.
Teleporting too.

I made a part in my level where there is a phys_box grating, and when somthing happens, Five rotated well placed wooden beams break, It falls , and a combine shottgunner rappells.

I have never felt this much of a scence of acomplishment EVER.

Now I came here to ask...

How do I make zombies sleep then awake?
Apparently you can do so with striders too.
The Suprise I think its called.
