its late and im not asking for much ... (i hope)

is there a tutorial how to get a normal mesh in XSI (that doesnt have any weight painting maps or whatever a normal geometry hasnt got on it, just a normal mesh) into a working model in HL2... ?

or maybe like 10 smaller tutorials that do it step by step ?
lots of modding teams have ingame working player models, where did they get their tutorials ?

edit: with normal mesh i mean a basic geometry and not some kind of high res normal mapping geometry
