Low Perforamnce

*sigh* right I was forced to format the other day and since reinstalling everything my PC is alt slower than it was before. Im also having a problem where after having the comp run for a few mins it suddenly slows to nearly standing in even the most simple tasks.. even opening web browsers causes it to lag. System is as follows..

FX-53
X800 XT P.E.
2 GIG RAM
AV8 Deluxe
SB Audigy 2

Win XP Home Ed on SP1 (SP2 keeps screwing anything and everything up so Im not installing that)

Only two things I can see is drop your RAM down to 1G, and buy WIN XP Pro. There's a thread around here about how 2G can slow our system down, but not to the level you're talking about. Might be the RAM... open up your case a re-seat everything. You never know. Good luck.

thx, tho its not any of that apart fro mthe fact I had problems before the FX-53 is able to deal with running 4 DIMMS. Im assuming its a driver issue.. does anyone know any tools that let you easily track down system bottlenecks?

Have u installed ur chipset drivers?

Ive installed all the drivers off the master CD the comp came with and its not helping load times are down and after 5-10 mins after booting up things go from bad to worse and everythings pretty unusable.
