Making a Combine Force Field

I am trying to make a combine force field to prevent entry into a hallway, I can't seem to find a tutorials- any suggestions ?

Do you want it to be able to be toggled on or off, or permanetly on?

I want it to be toggled- I used Samon's link as a template, and I got to work in game by using a trigger to switch it on, and a button to switch it off- but here is another question- in HL2 there are times when you need to "unplug" the force field- how do you do that? A wire plugged into an outlet that you use the gravity gun to unplug ?
