Do purple textures mean that their corrupt or just missing?

No it means that the lame guy\girl who made it is really weird

no really all of the pink or purple w/e it is is all missing textures that werent put in the map or werent given to put it the materials folder

Just download the map from the internet and it'll all work. The textures should be in the zip.

go to the steampowered.com forums (I know, it's dreadful over there), and find a thread in the HL2 Deathmatch forum for maps.
