Minor graphics issue

I'm having a minor graphics issue whenver I go
into a dark tunnel (route kanal, highway 17)
I see white line artifacts (few, but noticeable)
inside the dark tunnel regardless of how I change
my video settings in the advanced options menu.
My system is not cutting edge but it is all I can
afford right now. (p4 2.8, 1gb 2700 ddr,
fx5700 video card.)
Does anyone know of any tweaks, cvar settings,
etc. that might clear up this problem?
 
is your card overclocked/over heating? those are the two problems that cause artifacts. mine has some bad artifacts, geforce 2. pretty old, bad idea to oc it..oh well, 6800 here I come! :bounce:
