Multiple save games?

Hi,

My room mate got Half life 2, and has been playing it. I have also been waiting for it to come out, to play.

He will be working for the next few days, giving me a chance to play it on his computer....

However, he is concerned that his game is the only save. He has said that he found no way to save multiple games, and if I start a new single player game, it will erase his current one. Is this true? Is there any way around that if so?

It would be a piss poor decision on the part of the developers to make a single, always overwritten game file. I have faith that they have not done so...

So how do I go about creating a new game that I can play, and keep it seperate from his game entirely, so that his is still accessible.

you can as many games as you want!
just goto New Game for yourself, the only inconvenience i can see for your roomate is the quicksave feature, which if you use, might make it harder for him to use it.. but if you just hit escape while in the game, you can save it manually.. i don't think there's a limit to saved games, but it does seem like there's a limit on quicksaves, something like the last four, so if you used that, maybe it would overwrite his?
Anyone else?
