is there a command that you can type in console that allows you to play mp3's as you play?

Well, there is supposed to be a (buggy) mp3 player, try typing 'mp3' in the console.

If that doesn't work, just put your MP3 files in your Steam/Steamapps/USERNAME/Half-Life 2/hl2/sound/ folder and type in the console 'play NAME.Mp3' .

I like the MP3 player. I toyed with it in Lost Coast, and it was cool how the music would fade under dialogue so you could still understand it.
